Confusion in Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Siya Goyal Denies Appointing Counsel

A strange situation unfolded this Monday in the high-profile Ketan Agarwal murder case. There was a lot of confusion regarding who is actually representing the main accused, Siya Goyal. As the legal proceedings move forward, the truth about her representation has become a major point of interest for the public.

The Courtroom Drama

The Vadgaon Maval court in Pune decided to extend the police custody of Siya Goyal and her co-accused, Chetan Chaudhary, by four more days. They will remain in custody until July 3. However, the extension was overshadowed by a strange event inside the courtroom. Two different lawyers, Vipul Dushing and Aashutosh Srivastava, both claimed they were the ones defending Siya Goyal.

This public confusion started on Sunday when Aashutosh Srivastava began speaking to the media as if he were the official legal counsel for Siya Goyal. Many people following the case were left wondering who the family had truly hired.

Family Clarification

Before the court session even began, Siya Goyal’s brother, Sahil Goyal, spoke to the reporters waiting outside the court. He was very clear about the situation. He told the media that their family had never hired Aashutosh Srivastava. Sahil stated, “We have never engaged him, and he is not someone appointed by us. Whatever he is claiming, I have no knowledge of it.”

This statement directly contradicted the claims being made by Srivastava. It highlights how fast misinformation can spread during a sensitive legal trial. Much like checking the impact of rising fuel prices on your budget, it is important to verify facts before assuming anything about high-profile court cases.

There’s more to life than simply increasing its speed.

The Final Decision

During the hearing, both lawyers argued for the accused. Advocate Vipul Dushing maintained his position by saying, “We are the ones representing Siya in this matter.” He also noted that the case is currently in a very early stage and there are no specific expectations regarding the outcome yet.

The ambiguity finally ended near the end of the 40-minute argument. Siya Goyal herself spoke up to clarify the matter for the court. She informed the judge that Vipul Dushing was her chosen legal counsel, putting an end to the claims made by Aashutosh Srivastava.

Why Legal Clarity Matters

Cases like this often attract a lot of attention. In today's digital world, news travels fast, and sometimes people might try to attach themselves to a trending story for attention. Understanding the legal process is just as important as knowing about trends in the Indian job market. For now, the legal team for the defense is officially set, and the focus will return to the ongoing investigation by the police.
