A Night Out Turns Into a Nightmare

What should have been a fun night out at a popular club in Chandigarh turned into a terrifying experience for a 24-year-old student. Dhruv Trehan, who is currently studying for his Master’s degree in Finance in France, was visiting his home in Ferozepur when he decided to go to KOMO House in Sector 7. Instead of enjoying music and drinks, he ended up fighting for his life against a group of aggressive men.

According to the police report, the trouble started around 2 am on Sunday. A man in a black shirt began arguing with a friend of Dhruv. When Dhruv tried to step in to calm things down, the situation exploded. The man, identified as Aniket Gupta, allegedly grabbed Dhruv and tried to hurt him. Soon, four or five other men joined in, and the situation turned into a brutal assault.

Brutality and Threats in Sector 7

Dhruv claims that he was hit repeatedly with fists and metal bangles. The attackers even threw tables at his head, leaving him injured and disoriented. He mentioned that he suffered severe pain in his fingers and head, and he lost hearing in his left ear due to the attack. When he tried to run away, the group followed him, threatening to kill him. This level of violence is truly unacceptable in any public space, reminding us of the importance of digital safety and reporting crimes when we witness them online or offline.

The club owner and his friend, Toshan Arjun, tried to stop the fight, but the attackers turned their aggression toward them as well. The group allegedly brandished firearms and threatened to shoot, forcing the victims to run back into the nightclub for cover. Police Investigation and Legal Action

The nightmare did not end inside the club. Outside, the attackers allegedly got into a BMW X7 and tried to run over the victims. The vehicle hit several other parked cars during the chaos, including a Toyota Fortuner. The police have now registered an FIR against three named individuals—Aniket Gupta, Jagdeep Singh Kang (also known as Jaggi), and Baldeep Singh Sarao (also known as Balli)—along with two other unidentified people.
