Three Bonded Labourers from Tiruvannamalai Rescued in Karnataka

In a major rescue operation, three bonded labourers from Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu were saved from Karnataka. These individuals were forced to work under very harsh conditions without proper pay or freedom. What is Bonded Labour?

Bonded labour is a system where a person is forced to work to pay off a debt. Often, poor people take a small loan from a landlord or an agent for an emergency.
